This is for you Wendy Y-H. Hope you take a peek! For this seasons 4E house project I’ve decided to create a tunnel book. Each artist has to respond to the previous artist’s page, there is no real subject (well, not at this point because I’m still creating the back ground). Tunnel books are assembledContinue reading “Basic Tunnel Book Tutorial”

Sigh of Relief
I’ll be attending a marketing workshop both Saturday and Sunday in Corvallis. Initially I signed up for one of the “prime spots” to be evaluated by Marty Rudolph. Heather emailed me about needing to bring in 3 works in the same media for the event. Yikes! That froze me! First, the thought of wrangeling theContinue reading “Sigh of Relief”
Corvallis Fall Festival
Background: Back in July 2004, I was in France attending a sketching/journaling workshop along the Brittany coastline. At the end of the class, Carol and I headed to Paris for several days of sight-seeing and museum hopping. On departure day, Carol had an early flight and I had an early afternoon train ride back toContinue reading “Corvallis Fall Festival”
Finished She Project
The phrase “she sank into the depths” was very workable . It conjured up quite a few visual images. Giant squid was the initial thought, so I went with it. Snorkel woman was based on an image I shot while on Maui many years ago. Took about 3 hrs to complete. Nothing great but justContinue reading “Finished She Project”
She Phrase
Here is my phrase “She sank into the depths….” Squid and the deep blue sea is coming to mind… we’ll see what happens!
She Project 2009
Is it that time already? Yep, we are sitting on the eve of this year’s project. What is the She Project? Tomorrow afternoon I will receive a “she phrase” via email and I will spend only 2 hrs working an 8″x10″ 2D project. Saturday morning I turn the project in with a frame and itContinue reading “She Project 2009”
Retro Art
While looking at my friends site, I jumped into her “Retro” section. I find in very interesting to see the progression of artists through time. A great example is the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam which displays his work in a winding time line through the beautiful building. So why not put up a pieceContinue reading “Retro Art”
6 Sides Completed
Yesterday it arrived in my mailbox, the completed block from the 6 Sides to Every Story project. Carol had given me a preview but it was very exciting to open the official envelope!
Mocha’s UnBirthday
It’s really happened. On April 30th she passed over the 16.5 yr mark. We certainly didn’t think she would ever make it this far, or us to survive….but here she is still standing & walking with her crusty nose. What a dog!
Gyotaku at Carols
After taking the rubber fish class from Fred Mullet at ArtFest (it was our third day and I didn’t post any of the results from the class) Carol really wanted to have us come over for fish printing with the real thing. Lauren and I met at Carol & Harry’s place for the Gyotaku experience.Continue reading “Gyotaku at Carols”
