Leaf Coat Project

The problem: What can I create using lots of dead leaves.

Solution: A coat!

How did I come to this realization? Well, that’s for another posting.  All I can say is that my mind works in strange ways. It did take several weeks to come up with the “how to” part.

So here we go!

bag-o-leaves
Start with collecting a multitude of dead ash leaves.
leaf-bucket1
Soak leaves in water to increase flexibility
creating-leaf-fabric3
Create a "leaf fabric" using a special sauce, leaves and an old window for a work surface.
day-1-back
The start of the shoulders, back view.
day-1-front
And the front. Leaf fabric is draped over wood support and white t-shirts.

That was the first day for the coat. Not much to look at but time will tell!

I’ll post more later-

Thanks for looking!
