Today I finally feel like my body has recovered from last weeks endevors. So, I spent the morning cutting chunks of dried branches for the twigs project…
And then proceeded to finish burning and waxing of Rivers III, the commissioned piece. Always dicey during the waxing process but I think it looks pretty good. Now I need to get it in for a professional picture and off to it’s new home.
You are amazing. The Rivers III project looks just wonderful. It will never be out in the world where we can see it? Could you make another, similar? Looks very cool.
Rivers I hung as part of my Unseen Natives project out in Sweet home. Rivers II was created using a different section of the Willamette Valley drainage system but hasn’t been exhibited. Rivers I was hung during the community open this year where certain folks fell in love with it, but wanted it in a different color. Hence Rivers III. I will be having it photographed and will submit it for the Around Oregon Annual. So, you Might see it this fall…. I’m really happy the commission folks have agreed to allowing me to enter it!
The goal is to cover the entire drainage system coming into the Willamette Valley. Slowly it will develop….
Glad you like it!

wow, fabulous work
Thanks! Now I have to get it hung and photographed… probably the hardest thing in the entire project!
