Lee finally went through his “procedure” Saturday morning. They rolled his bed out at 9am and he returned by 10:30am. The physical therapist said that it might take up to a couple of weeks for everything to settle down. Today, Sunday, he will start finding out how much it has helped with assistance from theContinue reading “Lee’s Procedure”

2pm surgery schedule
Lee finally is tentatively scheduled for his procedure Friday. There were huge gaps of information passing between patient and hospital. Lee had agreed last night on opting into the surgery, not like he really had another choice. Somehow the upper folks/surgeons didn’t get that message. Kim had to “get medieval” , (her term, not mine),Continue reading “2pm surgery schedule”
Surgery tomorrow?
Lee will most likely be heading into surgery Thursday. He’s pretty pissed off at all the doctors because they won’t listen to him or give him any respect. Now if we can just keep Kim from coming unglued tomorrow… We also found out tonight a friend was just diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. StrangeContinue reading “Surgery tomorrow?”
now it’s the fathers turn…
Yes family members, Lee is back in the hospital and will be talking with a neurosurgeon tomorrow. Kim and I spent all day at the ER until they admitted him. Seems like the compression fracture in his vertebrae is pinching nerves more. We will see what tomorrow brings!
Back from Kauai & Oahu
We have been out of town for the past 10 days enjoying sunshine & rain in Kauai & Oahu. Photos to come but not until the main computer gets debugged. There are a few photos of Waikiki on my brother’s blog: the S & M’s Adventures link. Lee will be leaving the hospital today. Yep,Continue reading “Back from Kauai & Oahu”
change
Every once in a while changing things around is good. Seems like I shift the blog look every 6 months or so. Still trying to find a good fit for what I want.
one year anniversary
I find it hard to believe that back on February 20, 2009 this blog took form. Many things have since passed, both good and bad, but posting continues: 137 posts and over 7500 visits. Never would have guessed! Thanks to all who come and visit! Gale 🙂
The End
Evelyn died early this morning.
Ending….
Friday I went down for a 1:30 visit and met up with Lee who was already sitting in her room. The nurses has started her on an IV drip of morphine so she would stop having all the ups and downs. Kim and Kirsten experienced some pretty bad stuff while they were visiting the dayContinue reading “Ending….”
News from Mike’s visit
Mike passed along last nights report via email that I thought you all might like to read. The new room 8127 is pretty nice. Didn’t see it in daylight but from the direction and building layout it should have a great view of the river and valley out toward Marcola. A couple comments she madeContinue reading “News from Mike’s visit”
