First 8

Somehow, I’ve managed to get to this point, completing the first 8 panels for the Halsey project. The actual wall placement isn’t correct yet, but there’s still more to figure out. Progress continues forward as energy levels fade. Three out of four pairs are now cut. The wheat image (upper right) was completed today after almost four days of work. Figuring out spacing

How will the final spacing of work come together? It’s something that requires thought right now before moving on to larger panels. Finishing the Squares

A large magnifier with light is one of the essential tools I’ve acquired from my father’s studio. It’s attached to the drafting table he used for many many years. Today I’m continuing work on figuring out the best way to portray the influx of Hazelnut crops into the Willamette valley. Halsey and surrounding communities have their share of newly planted orchards. The above piece focuses on the actual developing nut cluster with their wild paper coverings.
