The Art About Ag show is my main creating focus for the next couple of months. With any luck, project #1 might be completed before the community open drop date onContinue reading “January Studio Time”

Everett Holiday Card 2010
Since I was on a card theme, it was about time to unveil the completed card and it’s process. It ended up being 4 color screens & could have been less if I had planned it better. The complete process was not recorded but you should get the idea. We start with blank cards ScreenContinue reading “Everett Holiday Card 2010”
Unexpected Invitation
Last week I wandered out the mail box expecting bills and the usual junk mail. There was a large envelope at the bottom of the pile. I thought it must be for Dave, since he receives the majority of those types of things. However, it was addressed to me and was from Art About Agriculture. Continue reading “Unexpected Invitation”
Sister’s Bookmaking Afternoon
How often do I take the opportunity to teach others cool projects? Almost never! But I’m trying to change that by inviting family and friends over to play. On Thursday morning I called my big sister in Eugene and invited her to come create a book of her choice. My sister is a quilter andContinue reading “Sister’s Bookmaking Afternoon”

Saturday was the day for leaf work. Dave had nicely harvested four fronds from the licorice ferns at the park several days ago . Originally I was thinking about using bracken ferns, but he was unable to locate the plants. Oh well! These will do nicely. I chose to print the leaves onto butcher paperContinue reading “Shoji Birdhouse: Almost complete!”

Shoji Birdhouse Lamp
How often have I started a project with one thing in mind only to shift towards, well, something a bit different. Since I have not posted my original ideas/drawings, you would have no idea what I’ve been thinking. The birdhouse deadline is fast approaching and many artists have already dropped their work off. Will IContinue reading “Shoji Birdhouse Lamp”
