Running out the door

I just wanted to show the finished piece before running off to Eugene. Everything is glued and functioning. Hurrah! They really are a cozy light source. This will be going up on Etsy soon. Another maple leaf in red has already started… ๐Ÿ™‚

Green Leaves

I realized earlier this week the maple leaf luminaria could look just as good in a different color. Red isn’t the only option. After rummaging through the paper stash (there are numerous plus several dedicated flat file drawers) I discovered this beautiful shade of green. When paired with the blue trim it looks quite nice.Continue reading “Green Leaves”

One down

Finished! One down and more lights to come. I really need to hunker down and start the screen printing ideas running through my brain. The blackberry brambles are waiting. Anyway, it’s nice to have one thing completed. Unfortunately illness has stuck and I’ve been laid up in bed since Tuesday night. Today, I’m a tadContinue reading “One down”

Cutting

Today I managed to grab some studio time. The weather has been full of rain, high winds, thunder, and even tornado warnings. Tornado??? Am I still in Oregon???? Fortunately it all equates to snow in the mountains, a much needed winter weather event. Last night we went to a girlfriends 45th birthday party. To helpContinue reading “Cutting”

Nasty weather

Here we are on the verge of Corvallis Fall Festival and the weather report really sucks. There are multiple storms coming to our doorstep bringing inches of rain, ย 30 mph gusts and flooding. Tonight the first one comes, then another moves in Saturday and yet another on Sunday. The weather service calls them “unseasonable” andContinue reading “Nasty weather”

Pods and thorns, oh my!

Today we had plenty of rain and overcast skies so it was a good day to grab some studio time. The pod is slowly pulling together.ย  I’m sure you’re probably wondering how many hammered copper wires get inserted into a pod form. I’ve not officially counted but it’s around 110-120 (Cynthia, each one is hammeredContinue reading “Pods and thorns, oh my!”

Thorns

I have one week to go before Fall Festival and nothing terribly interesting to bring in the 3D world. Well, at least what I consider interesting. I’m pretty sure other people have different ideas. My supply orders are slowly dribbling in the door. Still waiting for rattan and glue. No glue = no lamp/luminarias ofContinue reading “Thorns”

Quality photos are worth it!

I try my darnedest to do most of my own work, be it photos, web or computer. However, I’m convinced that it’s totally worth paying someone else to take GOOD photos. This way I don’t have to know how to do everythingย  or keep the equipment on hand for those occasional images. All I haveContinue reading “Quality photos are worth it!”

Finished Project

Whew! The end of the month and many projects accomplished! The biggest thing off my plate happens to be the donation for The Arts Center… Stroll in the Woods will be up for sale during Chocolate Fantasy. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the AC. Now I can get back into the swing ofContinue reading “Finished Project”

Chocolate Fantasy Donation

On March 2, 2012, The Arts Center will be hosting their grand benefit called Chocolate Fantasy. Yes,with chocolate in the title, who wouldn’t want to attend? They have also roped in basketball coach Craig Robinson ( that’s Michelle Obama’s brother for those outside the area) who will be helping MC the event.ย  Besides the culinaryContinue reading “Chocolate Fantasy Donation”
