Insects in the garden

The garden continues to ramp up production. More zucchini, cukes, kale, and peas. Pole beans will start blooming in the next 2 days. Tomatoes continue to ripen, but what really captures my attention are all the insects! The Catnip was swarming with bees and small butterflies this afternoon. Still not finished…

After several weeks of illness, I’m finally cracking on with the book. A deer appeared in the upper left section because I’ve been seeing quite a few grazing in the far back. Sticks

If one doesn’t have supplies, one can’t create. Surprisingly, I had run out of wood from a purchase back in January. It takes 9 feet of wood to create one luminaria. Running out the door

I just wanted to show the finished piece before running off to Eugene. Everything is glued and functioning. Hurrah! They really are a cozy light source. This will be going up on Etsy soon. Another maple leaf in red has already started… 🙂

Last fall I ventured into Corvallis’s newest yarn shop “Stash” and discovered a wonderful selection of Oregon crafted fibers.
