Somehow, I’ve managed to get to this point, completing the first 8 panels for the Halsey project. The actual wall placement isn’t correct yet, but there’s still more to figure out. How will the final spacing of work come together? It’s something that requires thought right now before moving on to larger panels. A large magnifier with light is one of the essential tools I’ve acquired from my father’s studio. It’s attached to the drafting table he used for many many years. After lunch today, I set aside the hazelnut design and started playing with wheat. Wheat fields are so beautiful to drive by. Today I’m continuing work on figuring out the best way to portray the influx of Hazelnut crops into the Willamette valley.
